Online images used to be simple. In the past, they werenít the focal point of a page ó there were only a handful of images on a given page and all users were viewing online images on a desktop with dial-up. That has all changed. Todayís web pages are dynamic, filled with images and viewed by end users on different devices with varying connectivity. As audience expectations for rich web experiences have grown, so has the requirement to deliver increasingly image-heavy web applications. The problem? The cost and complexity of creating, storing, and delivering web images tailored for every device poses a significant challenge for businesses, but failing to address the increasing diversity across devices and networks will lead to a poor and inconsistent user experience. Current solutions donít solve this problem completely.

Dune London partnered with Curalate. Leveraging Curalate, Dune was able to source inspirational images from a variety of online sources and connect them to places of purchase. These sources included content created by customers, influencers, as well as Dune itself. In doing so, Dune was able to get more out of their existing investments in content while inexpensively acquiring compelling images from sources outside the organization.

Business travel is coming under closer scrutiny: In Germany alone, companies spend approximately 50 billion euros on business travel every year. To partially offset this expense, many companies are replacing business trips with online meetings. With this technology, customers and partners are able to communicate with images and audio over the Internet, while special presentation functions reinforce the personal aspects of a meeting. Software licenses, Webcams, and headsets are worth the investments. Companies that use Web meetings discover new methods of collaboration and reduce their own output of greenhouse gases.
