"Pharma logistics today is about the safe and secure transportation of pharmaceuticals from production to consumption while ensuring that integrity of product is not compromised. However, with increasing complexity of the global pharma supply chain to meet the increasing spend in healthcare sector, regulatory requirements surrounding transportation of temperature controlled pharma will become increasingly stricter and wider in scope and reach. Partnerships between logistics service providers will become key for business expansion ably supported by IT vendors supplying the right tools for operating temperature sensitive products and services. In this Whitepaper, we touch upon: • The Business Opportunity – Pharma logistics by airfreight • The challenges at multiple touch-points in the entire supply chain • Solutions & effective Mitigation Strategies "

Cancellations, delays, diversions – commercial aviation moves to the constant beat of irregular operations (IROPS) and other disruptions. Each yeah the cost of disruption to airlines and their customers runs into an estimated $60 billion. IROPS pose a constant challenge to profits and maintaining customer satisfaction. Survival amid these challenges requires the right technology and effective communication between personnel. With this white paper, IBS Software aims to create inroads to bridge this disconnect between supporting IT systems and the reality of dealing with IROPS. We examine the impact of disruption across operations and the services provided to passengers and transported cargo and propose an integrated solution to aid the execution of successful contingency plans supporting both airlines and their customers.

The NDC program was initiated by IATA (International Air Transport Association) with the objective of streamlining distribution networks through an industry-level standardization protocol and give airlines greater flexibility to differentiate and sell their products via third-party intermediaries. As NDC gains momentum in the industry, airlines can explore multiple strategies to help them achieve their NDC initiatives such as product differentiation, personalized offers, rich content & ancillaries offers. One way to do this would be to move from a legacy PSS system to a modern distribution platform. However, in doing so, should they look at NDC compliant or NDC native platforms? In this Whitepaper, we answer these questions and touch upon: • Demystifying the differences between NDC native and NDC compliant platforms • How do NDC compliant (non-native) platforms work? • What does it take to build a NDC native solution? • Why should airlines invest in a NDC native PSS solution?

A lot of people who are trying to understand NDC tend to ask whether investing in an NDC native/enabled platform will give the airline the power to exercise dynamic pricing on their inventory. The answer is no – NDC is a necessary prerequisite to truly personalize, differentiate and sell more than just seats on, but it is not sufficient by itself. In order to truly personalize, differentiate the offering, offer dynamic pricing and increase your product offerings, NDC is the plumbing to ship your goods, but it does not natively offer the algorithms for i.e. personalisation and dynamic pricing. Utilizing the new wealth of what NDC can, every airline needs to understand, that it also needs to look at the limitations its current PSS has.

Airline loyalty programs are one of the most targeted sectors for fraud, as they have enormous personal information on frequent flyers. While loyalty programs can help achieve great business results, fraudsters continue to exploit the programs for personal gain. With the increase of sophistication in fraud, detection platforms must remain agile in order to contain the risk and much more can be done to effectively protect members and the program. This paper discusses methods of identifying loyalty fraud within an organization and effectively handling the risks.

It cannot be denied that a significant investment is required for modernizing airline operation infrastructure. However, the legacy systems in use today at many airlines rely on obsolete technology tempered with short term innovations and large investments over a period of time. An airline that seeks to gain real value from their OCC in this sense should be conscientious in selecting the right kind of platform to support it. A good technology platform stems from conscientious research and development which is powered by deep domain expertise and extensive experience in the aviation industry. An effective strategy in this context will require process and technology support across the entire chain of operation that is manifested in what we can term a “connected airline”. In this Whitepaper, we share detailed insights on: • The ‘Connected Airline’ approach and how airlines can benefit from it • The need for efficiency in operations & a data-oriented infrastructure strategy • Advantages

As a consolidation takes place in the airline industry, multiple airlines are coming together as groups for strategic reasons. Each group however, still has a number of ‘Operations Control Centers (OCC)’ which deploy a mix of IT systems for schedule management, flight planning, operations and maintenance control, hub management and crew tracking. Not surprisingly, bringing together the IT systems of all members of the group in their current shape could have disastrous results because there is a diverse array of applications which operate in silos and do not communicate with each other effectively. In this scenario, how can airline groups benefit from data integration for effective decision making - to predict and prevent disruptions which affect aircraft rotations, passengers and crews costing airlines billions of dollars every year? With this Whitepaper you will gain interesting insights on: • Information sharing for Collaborative Disruption Management • Importance of data integrati

Caption: How airlines can prevent disruptions with proactive situational awareness An Operations Control Center (OCC) manages several complex aspects of airline operations, such as the expensive fleet of modern and old aircraft, large number of crew members, detailed maintenance cycles, optimization of fuel burn, ATC communications, airport slots and so much more. Unfortunately, most OCCs are powered by legacy IT systems that might result in airlines running a high risk of frequent and often expensive disruption in their services. The good news is, Modern IT systems with ‘Situational Awareness’, take a different path. By displaying only the relevant information, they reduce screen complexity, thus enabling users to understand the situation better and take the most appropriate decision. In this Whitepaper we discuss: • Daily challenges of an Operations Control Center (OCC) and shortcomings with existing IT systems • "SAW - Situational Awareness Window" approach in airline OCC managem
