Other core components of the announcement include a refresh of Cisco Catalyst switches, a new licensing model for infrastructure, and an all-in-one management console called DNA Center.

Selecting the right enterprise resource planning (ERP) software often poses a challenge for many businesses in the manufacturing industry. With so many options out there, it’s difficult to break down each potential application and choose the one that’s the best fit for your business.
This Gartner report explains how ERP selection teams can come to a consensus and establish an understanding of all options by jointly populating and prioritizing a hierarchical, weighted ERP evaluation model.
A structured evaluation model helps put all the cards on the table by explaining and justifying to internal stakeholders, external auditors, and vendors how and why an ERP software decision was made.
Read the Gartner report and establish your own ERP evaluation model to see if the Epicor ERP solution is the right fit for your manufacturing business.

No matter your line of business, technology implemented four years ago is likely near its end of life and may be underperforming as more users and more strenuous workloads stretch your resources thin. Adding memory and upgrading processors won't provide the same benefits to your infrastructure as a consolidation and upgrade can. Read this research report to learn how upgrading to Dell's PowerEdge VRTX with Hyper-V virtualization, Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2, and Microsoft SQL Server 2014 could reduce costs while delivering better performance than trying to maintain aging hardware and software.

Oracle has just announced a new microprocessor, and the servers and engineered system that are powered by it. The SPARC M8 processor fits in the palm of your hand, but it contains the result of years of co-engineering of hardware and software together to run enterprise applications with unprecedented speed and security.
The SPARC M8 chip contains 32 of today’s most powerful cores for running Oracle Database and Java applications. Benchmarking data shows that the performance of these cores reaches twice the performance of Intel’s x86 cores. This is the result of exhaustive work on designing smart execution units and threading architecture, and on balancing metrics such as core count, memory and IO bandwidth. It also required millions of hours in testing chip design and operating system software on real workloads for database and Java. Having faster cores means increasing application capability while keeping the core count and software investment under control. In other words, a boost
